Dr. Cavanagh is also an award-winning instructional designer, program manager, and administrator. His experience has earned him positions on a number of state and national online learning boards and made him a frequent presenter at industry conferences. His research interests include e-learning, technical communication, and the societal influence of technology on education, training, culture, and commerce.

As Executive Director, for the Personalized Learning Consortium at the Association of Public and Land-grant Universities, Karen manages a network of universities committed to student success through personalization. She also oversees the adaptive courseware grant providing leadership and support to eight pioneering universities which are scaling adaptive courseware in introductory level courses.

Jhaj pursues ways to create greater levels of student success for all learners across all degree types. He works to identify new ways the university can improve learning outcomes. Jhaj is also the dean of University College, an instrumental and significant part of ASU’s efforts to enhance retention, graduation, and overall student achievement. Jhaj is also a professor of practice in The Design School within the Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts.

Shaunak Roy, Yellowdig's Founder & CEO

Shaunak is the founder and CEO of Yellowdig. Yellowdig is a community-driven active learning platform adopted by over 130 colleges and universities, K12 schools, and corporate training clients.

Yellowdig’s mission is to transform every classroom into an active, social, and experiential learning community.
Shaunak graduated with a degree in mechanical engineering from IIT Bombay and completed his graduate studies at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.


Prior to founding Yellowdig, Shaunak spent a decade advising global companies on technology, strategy, and growth.
